Admissions FAQs

Get clear answers to common admissions questions about Lee Christian School, including application requirements, enrollment timelines, tuition information, and what to expect from a Christ-centered, faith-based education.

Are there scholarship opportunities?

Lee Christian School does not offer internal scholarships; however, we do accept the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship (NCOS) for students who are awarded funding through the state.

Does LCS offer a multi-child discount?

We strive to keep tuition as affordable as possible for all families. Rather than inflating tuition in order to offer discounts, we set our prices at the lowest sustainable rate for everyone.

Is beforecare or aftercare available?

Yes.

  • Beforecare begins at 7:00 a.m. and costs $5.00 per day
  • Aftercare runs until 5:30 p.m. and costs $10.00 per day

Beforecare and aftercare availability may vary slightly by division. Please refer to the Parent & Student Handbook for full details.

Does LCS provide bus transportation?

Lee Christian School does not offer traditional bus routes. Transportation to and from school is the responsibility of parents. However, activity buses are provided for athletic events and field trips.

How quickly can my child enroll?

The admissions process can move quickly. It requires two visits to campus: one for a tour and one for academic testing. If both are scheduled within the same week, enrollment can often be completed within a few days.

Are there waiting lists?

Yes. When a classroom reaches capacity, a waiting list is created. Some grade levels fill more quickly than others, so we encourage families to submit an inquiry form as early as possible. Waiting lists are organized based on the date of the initial inquiry.

When can my child participate in extracurricular activities?

Extracurricular opportunities typically begin in middle school, where students may join a variety of clubs. Athletic participation varies by sport, with some sports available beginning in 5th grade.

Is Lee Christian School accredited?

Yes. Lee Christian School is fully accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Accreditation ensures that our academic programs, policies, and operations meet recognized standards of educational excellence and continuous improvement.

What is the building fund?

The building fund is an annual $500 per child contribution that supports ongoing campus improvements, facility maintenance, and future building projects beyond regular operating costs. This payment is typically the second scheduled payment for families, based on their selected FACTS tuition payment plan.

What is the cost of admissions?

The total admissions fee is $525 per child and is divided into two parts:

  • Application Fee – $125 per child
Covers entrance testing and secures your child’s spot while the admissions process is completed.
  • Enrollment Fee – $400 per child
Covers administrative costs, including student records, systems setup, and required accounts.

All admissions fees are non-refundable.

Do students get rejected?

There are times when a student is not admitted to Lee Christian School. Our admissions process is intentionally collaborative and evaluates each student individually to determine whether LCS is the best academic and spiritual fit. Admissions decisions involve communication between parents, the admissions team, school administration, and, when appropriate, the student. While it is uncommon that we are unable to accommodate a student’s needs, we do uphold specific academic, behavioral, and faith-based standards. Students not in agreement with LCS policies and scriptural standards may be encouraged to seek an educational alternative.

What grades does Lee Christian School serve?

Lee Christian School serves students in K4 through 12th grade. Availability may vary by grade level based on classroom capacity.

What curriculum does LCS use?

Lee Christian School uses a Christ-centered curriculum designed to meet academic standards while integrating a biblical worldview throughout instruction. Curriculum choices vary by grade level and subject area and may include, Abeka, BJU Press, Purposeful Design, and other resources.

What is the student-teacher ratio?

Student-teacher ratios vary by grade level but are intentionally kept small to support individualized instruction and strong teacher-student relationships. In most cases, our student-to-teacher ratio is approximately 15:1.

What are school hours?
  • Elementary School: 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Middle School / High School: 8:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Does LCS accept mid-year transfers?

Yes. Lee Christian School accepts mid-year transfers when space is available and when a student is determined to be a good academic and spiritual fit.

What faith background is required to attend LCS?

While Lee Christian School welcomes families from a variety of backgrounds, families are expected to support the school’s mission, Statement of Faith, and policies. All students are expected to participate in Bible classes.

Is a campus tour required before applying?

Yes. A campus tour is typically required as part of the admissions process to ensure families fully understand the school’s mission, expectations, and environment.
